How can membership advance my career and improve USACE?
Our goal is to continue to advance USACE's mission for all our stakeholders and USACE employees. It is in our interest to advocate for improvements and hold our leaders accountable to our agency’s mission, which in turn benefits you and your career. Those of us who carry out USACE’s mission on a daily basis need the autonomy to voice our ideas and concerns to managers and policymakers without fear of reprisal. In joining your union, your voice and professional integrity are strengthened. And in Local 98, you gain the ability to take on issues beyond the control of your immediate supervisor, when the situation warrants.

Why have dues, and what are they used for?
As with any member-driven non-profit organization, we need funds to carry out our work, and our only source of funding is through membership dues. Dues are used, for example, to provide training, insurance, office supplies, and legal support. Your dues do not go to politicians or political parties.
